Please note that after creating the folder “/media/customize”, you will still need root privileges aka superuser do (“sudo”) most file operations within it until you change its ownership as described below in step 5a.

4b. If using a DVD, once booted into Ubuntu, open up a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and type in “MK dir ~/ironmaster” without quotes first; this creates a temporary working directory on your hard disk where we are going to make our modifications before writing them back onto our CD later.
